The story of an education project
through and for music
Classic is fantastic it is an education project through and for music and is carried out in two directions: How to understand music, for children over 7 years old (Great Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum) and The childhood of great musicians, for children between 3/4 and 7/8 years, theater performances with music that take place, since November 2012, in the Great Hall of the Odeon Theatre. In 2022, UNITER granted a special space to this section of the project for its educational value.
The concerts, with a monthly frequency, in the Great Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum, address various topics from the simple How to understand music to How to understand music and theater, Music and dance, Music and film, Music and literature, Music and cartoons.... The performances at the Odeon Theatre, in number of 13, present in a sympathetic, colorful and intensely interactive setting the stories that tell how two mice, Sică and Rică, and their friend, the cat Lola, lived in the violin of Antonio Vivaldi, in the organ of Johann Sebastian Bach, in the library of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart under the pianos of Ludwig van Beethoven and Frédéric Chopin, in the garden in front of George Enescu's house... and that today, old man Sol enumerates, with luxurious detail, what wonderful things he learned from his great-great-grandchildren about the childhoods of these great composers.

Also on this page, in the Virtual Library, you can find and download, for free, the 13 books from the Childhood of the Great Musicians series, texts inspired by the plays but much and attractively developed, supported by wonderful illustrations signed by professional artists.
